HerStory: Why I Created The UpHer Room
How Did We Get Here?

I didn’t create The UpHer Room because I had all the answers.
I created it because I knew what it felt like to be a woman who was always pouring—and had no place to be poured into.
I was building.
Showing up.
Helping other people launch their visions.
Birthing things for churches, ministries, communities, and brands.
And on the outside, it looked like I was good.
But deep down, I was tired.
Not just physically—but spiritually. Emotionally. Creatively.
And honestly? I was starting to forget what being poured into even felt like.
The Weight of Being “Her”
There’s a weight that comes with being her—
The responsible one.
The anointed one.
The visionary.
The one other people lean on.
But where do we go when we need to be seen?
Where do we get clarity? Healing? Strength?
Where do we process the shift from who we’ve been… to who God is calling us to become?
I looked around and didn’t see many places for women like us.
Women who lead and love God but are still learning.
Women who don’t just need inspiration—they need structure, strategy, sisterhood, and space.
So I built it.
The Vision Wasn’t Just Mine—It Was Ours
The UpHer Room was born out of my personal burden,
But it was always meant to be a room for us.
A room for the women who don’t fit the mold.
A room for the builders who are still bleeding.
A room for the women who carry much but quietly wonder if they’re doing it right.
A room for the leaders, the pioneers, the midwives, the brokenhearted, and the faith-filled.
It’s a place where:
Healing and leadership can coexist
You don’t need a title to have a seat
Vision gets clearer as you walk
And you finally realize—you were never meant to do it alone
Still Becoming. Still Building.
I’m not showing up as the expert—I’m showing up as evidence.
That God can restore what burnout tried to erase.
That healing is strategy.
That women can build movements without losing themselves.
The UpHer Room is for women who are still becoming.
Still birthing.
Still saying yes to what’s bigger than them.
And still learning to let God take the lead.
If that’s you—this space was created with you in mind.
Come sit with us.
We’re gathering now—through our Fresh Start Series beginning June 5.
No pressure. No perfection.
